Sometimes art is most moving when it challenges us to reevaluate our identity. London artist Matthew Stone’s latest show at Subliminal Projects in LA does just that by taking viewers on a guided tour through the minefield of body politics. Through sly juxtapositions and heartfelt portraiture, Stone is able to destabilize some of the most fundamental assumptions we all make about what it means to have a body.
