Wat Rong Khun (The White Temple) is a contemporary Buddhist temple situated in Chang Rai, Thailand. It is the vision of artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, who has dedicated the rest of his life to completing the sculpturally intricate, mirror embedded sanctuary. He believes the project will take 70 years to complete and he is in the process of passing his aspirations onto his 60 or so helpers.

Highlights include the incongruent painting on the interior walls, which show pop culture icons including Michael Jackson, and images of war such as the Twin Towers being hit on 9/11. Even the No Smoking sign is epic.
