Dumbass: the new song and video by Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei

Chinese visual artist Ai Weiwei is channeling his pent up rage with music. Much like American gangster rap artists, the 55-year-old decided to write his angsty first album after being unfairly imprisoned for 81 days back in 2011. The music video for Dumbass recreates the very cell he was trapped in for so many days. Wievei describes the writing process as a personal method of healing and overcoming the tramma he experienced.
