Heather Dewey-Hagborg is on the prowl to collect your DNA. Like a forensic detective, Hagborg has learned to find traces of strangers’ DNA on common rubbish such as cigarette butts and chewed gum. Sounds a little gross, right?

But trust me, it’s all worth it in the end when you see the incredible life-like portraits she creates from the human blueprints she finds. These DNA portraits combine cutting-edge science and art to create her collection of 3D printed heads. Hagborg can even bring loved ones back to life with her amazing technique.
