I find, banal, everyday subject matter so exciting in photography. It sounds like a cliché but it really is turning an ordinary space or subject into something extraordinary. The human trace continues to fascinate me and is present in my work, whether it is a landscape or interior image. The photo above is from a project which focuses on house clearances, which I photographed as part of my final degree project. In most cases, the occupier or tenant had passed away, leaving only traces of human occupation behind.
