Carnivorous robots gobble and devour flies and mice

Are household pests good for anything except for annoying and scaring the hell out of us? Probably. I just recently found out about the fascinating work of UK designer James Auger from the Royal College of Art who worked with Jimmy Loizeau to build predatory devices that trap and feed on flies and mice to power themselves — such as telling the time on a clock, showing LED displays on coffee tables or generating light for lamps.
