At the annual five-day Pushkar ka Mela that takes place every November during the Kartik Purnima full moon in the holy town of Pushkar in Rajasthan, moustache competitions — where participants compete for the honour of having the longest moustache — rank among the top highlights next to camel and livestock trading. We thought this could only happen in India, but then we found out about the World Beard & Moustache Competitions, so it could happen anywhere.
