Author Cary Polkovitz’s whimsical collection of over 70 short stories and photographs range from the absurd to the horrific. What began as a fun project to share with a small community of friends and family on Facebook ended up reaching tens of thousands of readers on a weekly basis. At the behest of his readers and funding through Kickstarter, Polkovitz recently published the collection.
Polkovitz is a natural storyteller, spinning tales from an ongoing ‘found objects’ series of photographs he has taken primarily with his smartphone. Call it ‘flash fiction’ or ‘pithy observation’, Often Overlooked contains more than 70 of his stories with a promise of more to come in future installments.
