Paul Motisi is a good friend of mine, so I have nothing bad to say about him. It’s good that I don’t, because he’s exceptionally talented and creative. On one level, his work is very sleek and cartoonish, but the concepts and delivery of it have such heart and humor that comes across instantaneously. I’ve worked with Motisi many times, and what always impresses me is how he is able to use his own aesthetic and approach to bring out more of someone else’s own.
