Nameless: an unnerving series of floating objects

Hungarian photographer Bence Bakonyi’s series of pastel room and floating objects is quietly unnerving. Something about each scene is just not right. But it’s all subtle. Maybe it’s the pealing wallpaper seemingly coming to life and writhing like a snake. Maybe it’s the monotony of the clean, empty rooms. Each scene is silently “Nameless” as the series title suggests. Each room is easily forgotten and anonymous. Who knows? Maybe this is your house. Maybe these are the spirits that come out to haunt when you aren’t looking.
