Believe it or not, studies show that the popular concept of beer causing weight gain is nothing more than a myth. In fact, some have even gone as far as to say that when consumed reasonably and consistently, beer actually has nutritional benefits. It contains antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. And as for the high fat and calorie myth, think about it: wine, spirits, sugary soda, and even orange juice have more calories per 100ml than beer does. Yeah, that’s right, orange juice. So next time you reach for the OJ in your fridge, do the math and grab a cold beer instead.
