Want to compose a tune on the go? Use your jacket

Kickstarter’s the home of the brave for those who need a bit of crowd-funded push to get some really cool stuff going. Santa Monica-based outfit Machina has designed the MIDI Controller Jacket to let wearers make music kinetically, thanks to programmable sensors that can detect finger positions, an accelerometer that detects acceleration of the arm, a joystick and four push buttons. If the jacket ever makes it to production, it will probably be one of the most portable musical instruments you can ever carry and play on the go. Er, barring your voice, of course.
