The Adventures of an Australian Glass Blower

It makes sense that Llewelyn Ash loves the outdoors, as his work reflects the unique Australian landscape in which he lives. Through this, Ash explores the concepts of belonging, longing and personal change; bounding natural elements with the human experience. I know, you want to know more. Luckily, videographer Benjamin Dowie has made a great short film which followers Llewelyn Ash through a typical day in his life – the life of a glass blower.

Winner of the Bronze ACS Award at the 2012 SA & WA Awards for Cinematography, the video is visually stunning – expertly blending Ash’s love for nature with his love of art. Did we mention it’s sound tracked by one of our favourite Australian bands The Paper Kites? Oh yes, this is special.
