Can’t Get It Out Of My Head: by Emmanuelle Brisson
The French can get away with anything. Photographer Emmanuelle Brisson’s portrait series Can’t Get It Out Of My Head zeroes in on a woman whose head is enveloped in a cloud of smoke one moment, colourful pom-poms the next, and even an octopus, a watermelon, Christmas fairy lights and heaps of what looks like white flour. It could end up looking ridiculous, but instead it looks poetic.

Beautiful photographs, I agree, except I feel sorry for the model – she doesn’t look too pleased about having an octopus draped over her head!

The first “octopus on the head” photograph is reminiscent of Fiona Apple’s “Every Single Night” video. Check it out for yourself!
