A recent rampage at the local art museum brought me face-to-face with Dow Wasiksiri’s work. Born in Thailand, but raised overseas, Wasiksiri aims to ‘photograph the Thai way of life with a quizzical eye’. This includes capturing street portraits of people who hang out at Chiang Mai’s Kard Luang Market against hand-held photo backdrops. All that colour!
