This artist draws every single thing she buys

It’s amazing to think about the sheer volume of stuff just one person can amass over his lifetime. Which is why we’re so fascinated by illustrator Kate Bingaman-Burt’s project where she has been documenting all her purchases in the form of ink drawings since 2006. She’s even published Obsessive Consumption: What Did You Buy Today? in 2010, which has three years’ worth of stuff in it (it’s a pretty thick book, mind you). Consumption is scary. Every one of us, we are scary creatures of consumption.
