Sculptures made of Staedtler pencils

We’ve seen everything made out of everything else, but it’s not often that we see anything like what Aussie artist Lionel Bawden has done with hexagonal Staedtler pencils for his sculptural series, The World of Surface. Perilously flopping over the edge, or springing upright from the bottom, his works have a quiet elegance to them and don’t look gimmicky at all.
