Atoms for Peace artwork invades LA record label office

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke’s side project, Atoms for Peace, has an album out in February next year, and longtime collaborator Stanley Donwood is helming the lithographic artwork for it.

What makes it more remarkable is how Donwood, with artist INSA, basically took over the exteriors of the L.A. office of XL Recordings — which the band is signed to — and painted overlapping murals over it to create a GIF from all the different layers. It’s got bats, meteors, waves, fires, a guy stuck in a drowning car and is, in suitably Donwood fashion, dubbed the rather apocalyptic ‘Hollywood Dooom’.
