A table that folds out like a map

I chanced upon Swedish designers Sigrid Stromgren’s and Sanna Lindström’s collaborative work, the Grand Central Table, in an old copy of InDesign magazine the other day. Folded into its most compact state, the piece of work takes up very little space. But then it opens up — just like the foldout map of New York that inspired it — to make a pretty cool table. Has to be seen to be believed.
