Faces, cut out and looped to geometric madness
There’s a bit of madness in LA-based artist Gordon Magnin’s works. He calls each one an ‘altered found image’. We think it’s demented. Still, it’s the good sort of dementedness. There’s something cool about taking a cut-out of a face and repeating that cut-out till the essence of the image is never the same again. If there’s any way we’d ever agree to let anyone mangle up our face digitally, this would have to be the only way.
