Dress tents by Robin Lasser

Created by Robin Lasser and Adrienne Pao, the Dress Tents project is exactly what it sounds like: wearable architecture. Here, each dress tent is a dress that also morphs into a tent, making the idea of inhabiting a tent that much more multi-faceted. The different dress tents are thoughtfully displayed in the context of their landscapes — for instance, the Illegal Entry Dress Tent, sewed from military blankets embroidered with the actual names of those who lost their lives crossing the California/Mexico border, was originally set up beneath this same border too.
