Pictures of commuters surprised by shouting

Thai photographer Benz Thanachart has devised a rather unusual strategy to shoot great candid pictures: shout random phrases like ‘fried egg’ and ‘Tokyo tower’ to throw unsuspecting subjects off. Titled Smartphone, the project started when he returned to Thailand after spending a year in New York and noticed how commuters were using their mobile devices to cut off from contact with their surroundings. The looks he captures on his camera are quite priceless.
