IKEA catalog scandal gets very own internet memes

The marking gurus at IKEA are probably kicking back and laughing as their latest catalog has turned from a big scandal to a series of viral internet memes which is gaining them more publicity than ever. IKEA had photoshopped women out of it’s catalogs for the Saudi Arabian market to fit in with religious beliefs and traditions.

The world of internet memes responded with a series entitled I(KEA) Got 99 Problems But A Bitch Ain’t One!, which replaces women with furniture in a number of famous photographs. It’s seems it’s all fun and games until you can’t put your flat pack together. Well played, IKEA, well played.
