Body parts cake brings science to the masses

The Queen Mary University of London recently held an event at St Bart’s Pathology Museum with a cake shop serving up sweet treats that aren’t just mere edible anatomical replicas of body parts, but diseased ones, such as lungs ravaged by the ill effects of smoking, fungal-invaded toes and polycystic kidneys. Yes, they look gross. Of course, for those with a weak stomach, perfectly healthy body parts were on display too. Such as one of, er, an anus.
