In Manila, designer and illustrator JP Cuison is known for Gigzilla, his very own independent lifestyle brand of eye-catching gig posters. In his third upcoming solo exhibit, entitled Warhol vs. Lichtenstein, he recreates a rad brawl between two of the most influential artists in pop culture. See his artworks live in action (including undercard fights of Doraemon vs Hello Kitty, Murakami vs Nara, and many others) from November 18 to December 11 at Ronac Art Center, Manila.

Big problem with JP Cuison’s art is how shallow it is beyond its premise. There’s nothing deeper to any of his work other than riffing off pop culture icons. Forgettable.
