Michael Massaia is a fine art photographer and print maker who focuses on documenting isolation, disconnectedness and the ordinary. Borrowed Time is a series that focuses on the emotional steps a passenger would take during a mid flight engine failure: horror, relief, freedom. Apparently the series was produced without the use of Photoshop or digital composites. How? We have no idea.
