The dictionary distinction between art and craft is that while art is to be admired, craft maintains a functionality. Something more than elmers glue and popsicle sticks, today artist collaborations in homewares like Kaws’ lightbulbs, Audrey Kawasaki’s brooches and James Jean’s scarves is something more akin to harmonizing of art + life. The favorite though has to be Yoshitomo Nara’s 3,000 edition of project doggy.
