I’m a little obsessed with Julia Pott at the moment. Her new short, The Event, is a tale of togetherness during the last days of the world, a beautiful blend of live-action and line animation, and a stunning accompaniment to Tom Chivers’ poem. Pott’s exploration of our dark places and her use of colour and text are always pitch perfect. A massive talent.
