Book sculpture of a skull which doesn’t even exist

We’ve been wowed by Souverein’s work with Dutch agency Van Wanten Etctera, where they executed some pretty rocking book sculptures of famous people for Dutch Book Week. Recently, we also spied The Adventurer’s Diary, a similar work with a book fanning out in the shape of a skull. Looks like a lot of mad cutting took place, but the image creation agency attests they did this in CGI. Either way, we’re intrigued.
