The Painter: an hilarious story about an artist in his studio

Legendary LA artist Paul McCarthy has been very influential for me. This video, The Painter (1995), is an hilarious story about the artist painting in his studio wearing a stupid big rubber nose and a kind of dress you might wear in a mental institution. After a painting session with huge paint brushes and enormous paint tubes, The Painter is interviewed in a TV studio sitting next to a couple of art collectors. Some of the cliches and nonsense of the art world is exposed and made fun of in a way only Paul McCarthy does it.
