Der Lauf Der Dinge (The Way Things Go)

This was one of the first contemporary art works I saw when I started art school in 1995 and I thought: if this is art, then I want to make art. It’s great to see simple, low-tech everyday objects, such as a ladder, a chair, and a tire, transform into an ambitious composition of great timing and slap-stick sculpture with its own logic.
