Twisted anatomical drawings by Alex Konahin
It’s never about the weapon, it’s always about the person wielding the weapon. No stronger case in point than Alex Konahin, then. Based in Latvia, the fine arts illustrator wields a dip pen and draws with common India ink. His creations, however, are a lot more complicated. Konahin’s ongoing anatomy-based series features elaborate illustrations of the heart, the lungs, the brain and the guts, where mechanical armour and nature’s fauna twist and grip around each other tightly like knots. Astounding stuff.
