New art by Manila’s Zean Cabangis

Zean Cabangis is an artist from Manila. In his most recent 5-fold art set, which was originally intended for a group show entitled Build, he used acrylic and emulsion transfer on canvas to create a sense of uncertainty through open-ended ‘visual narratives’. Stirred by dissected memories and observations of human daily grind, he aims to construct vague feelings that make one dwell on how something starts or ends. Cabangis usually exhibits his works at Artinformal and Silverlens Galleries.
