Robert Crumb is one of the most prominent figures in comic book history. He founded Zap comix, pioneered the underground comix movement in the late 1960s, and introduced the world to characters such as Fritz the Cat, Mr. Natural and Devil Girl.

Now, after 30 years, German publishing giant Taschen has selected 1344 of Crumb’s best drawings and original sketches to realise a bound seven-volume limited edition set. Priced at an eye-watering $A930, the edition also includes the past 20 years of Robert Crumb’s life with over 600 rare and unpublished drawings. Even if you have the readies, be quick: there are only 1,000 copies available.
