Goldfish tank phone booths in Japan
Goldfish are a big source of inspiration for the Japanese, but art collective Kingyobu has taken that inspiration to the next level. The group has installed goldfish tank phone booths on the streets of Osaka, making for quite the interesting sight. The cord of the phone floats about in the water, while dozens of goldfish swim around in the booth. The installations are visually intriguing, although there’s no apparent reason as to why they are there in the first place.

What a awful thing! More and more you see animals being used (abused) and then have it called ‘design’. What a life for those fishes to live with hundreds together in a tank with just water, no plants or anything, in the blasting sun! Oh and fishes mostly swim horizontal, instead of vertical! And it’s just waiting for vandalism to slam and break those windows, like what happens with glass at bus stops or any other public property. In my opinion this never should have been made and also SHOULDN’T BE PROMOTED!

I dont like when people use animals for “art”.

Art can be seen in everything! it is a fish tank! A nice relaxing looking fish booth. You should feel calm looking @ it. Take a breath and enjoy
