Ceramic toy sculptures by Rhonda Gushee

Rhonda Gushee is a ceramic artist living in Greenville, SC. Her sculptures are created from found objects that are taken apart and rearranged into eerie human/animal hybrids. Some sculptures make toy sounds when buttons are pressed or when the object is squeezed. Her art is a commentary on the relationship of ‘humor and fear, beauty and decay, the antique and contemporary’.
