Samuel Silva is a Portuguese ‘hobbyist’ that will leave you speechless for a variety of reasons. For starters, Silva produces all of his work with ballpoint pens, a fact I am still struggling to believe. As if that isn’t impressive enough, Silva states he is a lawyer by profession and only produces art as a hobby. Silva seems to be the whole package: talented, unique, and unbelievably modest.

UPDATE: We interviewed Samuel Silva, and here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store! [you can read the full interview here.]

How do you balance your work as a lawyer and your hobby as an artist?

I don’t. Like with any other hobby, if you have time for it good. You feed your hamster, or you water your bonsai, or you change the water in your fish tank… I draw in my free time, not all my free time obviously, too boring.
