This magazine is a big deal for a lot of painters I know. Its a bit like walking into the back room of a hotel bar where everyone is a bit drunk and loudly eulogizing about some forgotten painter or barracking some timid young man into rethinking his populist idea about some established paint-hero. In a good way. It’s been going for seven or so years now, I’m told, and each issue arrives about every three months, which makes it feel like something special and rare. And it looks lovely, too.
