Darwin Festival: Australia’s only tropical arts festival

If you’ve never been to Darwin before, you’re missing out. This is one beautiful, interesting, tropical city, and guess what? It also happens to have Australia’s most northern and only tropical arts festival. That’s right. It’s increasingly becoming a boom destination for art and culture. This year’s Darwin Festival, which runs between August 9-26, features innovative programming and presentation, with musical acts as diverse as Hermitude, Kenny Rogers, Tim Rogers, and Holly Throsby, amongst many others, alongside theatre, cabaret, dance, visual art, and comedy acts. It’s going to be massive.

What’s more, Tourism NT are offering someone the chance to win a trip of a lifetime to the Northern Territory by letting them know what you would do on a $5,000 Northern Territory adventure. Hmm, now if it was up to us we’d say crocodile spotting, didgeridoo playing, a hike through the stunning Nitmiluk National Park, and a journey along the famous Ghan rail. But that’s just us. Enter to win the Northern Territory adventure here and get up to Darwin for an August fix of arts and culture.
