Brilliant photo of Bioluminescent Plankton

On my last trip to Costa Rica, I had the pleasure of night-swimming in an ocean full of green-blue aquatic fireflies. Tiny lights would quickly fade in and out as they darted through the shallow waves, some sticking to our backs in a gorgeous glittery coat. Turns out those fireflies were the bioluminescent plankton captured here by Doug Perrine, and I was bathing in them.
