Urban sci-fi concrete watches by Dzmitry Samal

Wow. How does anyone look at the pavement and go, ‘Well, I’m sure I can tell time out of that?’ Designer Dzmitry Samal (whom we’ve coincidentally gone 8-bit rabid about before) has been there and created an entire collection of watches with concrete frames.

Admittedly the sort of concrete stuff we’ve gone crazy about in the past from clocks to namecards have all tended to take on a sort of zen aesthetics. Not these concrete watches, which have a sci-fi and yet urban quality about them (‘Megapolis inspired’ is what Samal calls it) with their carefully rounded angular edges, navigational details and tetris-fied watch hands.
