I recently came across this photo essay by Detroit photographer/archivist Robert Monaghan, though it was apparently put together a few years ago. There are a lot of cool and/or hilarious compositions among these, and overall this set makes for a pretty unbeatable snapshot of Reagan-era Detroit decay, twenty-something public intoxication, and the unfortunate smearing of some poor girl named Candy Berkeley.
