With his Emergent Behaviors photo series, Brooklyn-based Thomas Jackson took his inspiration from the self-organising swarm-like systems commonly found in nature. He added a bit of a twist by casting unlikely objects from everyday urban life — such as cups and cheese balls — and made sure the pack mentality were strong with them. Told you these things were alive. Now we have proof.
