We are massive fans of Midnight Juggernauts (want the proof?), the wickedly brilliant Melbourne-based electro outfit, so we were pumped to see them enlisted by our friends at Sony to re-record their 2009 track, This New Technology, to promote their snazzy new XBA-4 headphones. That’s right: fat beats, a thumping bassline, grinding grooves, and headphones which blow it all up into a magnificent, scintillating sensory treat.

This New Technology just became This Newer Technology, and our ears are loving it. And why not? These new in-ear Sony XBA-4 headphones feature ‘finely tuned supreme sound quality, sensitivity, noise isolation and a comfortable fit’ and come with a ‘full range sound, tweeter, woofer and even a super woofer in a single headphone’. Check out this short documentary above that gives the inside story on the Midnight Juggernauts’ re-recording process and how they used the headphones to get the track thumping.
