Dead Man’s Place is the common fate for the silent, meek, self-denyers. Go on, watch your TV, wallow in your cocktails, pop your xanax, and partake in some sensation to distract your attention. Deny yourself, like the higher powers would like you to do. Be exploited. Be tame. Never speak your mind. Be someone else’s idea of good. Deny yourself of your own power. And be blind to the fact that this is you. Because in the end, no matter how blind or foolish, no man is a prisoner to any other but himself. Said with frustration, but mostly love.
