The Lourve, for the first time in its 900 year history, hosted an enormous transformation into a runway destination. Featuring the designs of Ferregamo, the director remarked that hosting a fashion show within the world’s most renowned art institution evangelizes ‘a statement, a continuation of a long tradition of beauty and sensibility, of passion and a love of art. It’s a very positive message. A way to reaffirm our Italian spirit and our culture’. With McQueen decorating royal weddings and Ferregamo’s spring collection hosting Lourve galleries, it seems there’s no better time to blend contemporary and artifact.
