Tono Stano was born in Slovakia in 1960 and lived in the Czech Republic. He is an art photographer, mainly known for his black and white photographs of the female body. He made a series of surreal portraits entitled White Shadow. Produced on an old-fashioned 24x30cm large-format camera, his photographs are analogue paper negatives that appear as positive representations because Stano covers the bodies of the models with reflective paint. The end result is very strange.
