Photographs of WW2 Sound Mirrors

There are some old airforce hangers and pill boxes from the Second World War near where I live. My local pub has a pill box in its grounds and even has a beer called Pill Box Ale. Very nice it is, too. I love remnants from another time and the Sound Mirrors featured on this website are just that: a forgotten relic of a time long gone. They were used to listen for German Zeppelins coming across the English Channel in the First World War. Like great big concrete ears, they listen still. I would love to visit this place and make some recordings, using them to capture sounds.

Recorded a cool, fun, funny, or inspiring video (or even better, all of the above!) that you'd love to have more people see? Well, we'd like to see it. And if we dig it, we'll turn it into a Found At E Minor (FAEM) video for our Facebook audience to enjoy. Check out this awesome recent example and submit your videos here!
