We’re enjoying these slightly dark and odd creature pictures from Melbourne-based artist Liza Dezfouli, who also works as a fashion illustrator and blogger. Inspired by Haida tattoo designs, Indonesian batik, Polynesian imageru, folk art, Mayan and Aztec art and even voodoo symbolism, these intriguing and colourful oil paintings are of part plant, part animal, part underwater creatures, all painted on recycled canvases.
