Being a non-practicing engineer and a nerd at heart, I am fascinated by Billy Keyes’ SketchSynth, which allows you to simply draw and bring to life your own specialised piece of sound hardware. In this video, Keyes demonstrates by drawing a MIDI board on a random piece of paper. Are we seeing the seeds of groundbreaking technology that nullifies specialized hardware and more importantly, justifies all the hours spent (wasted) on Draw Something?
